How fast can you fix a broken window in Airdrie?

Single pane glass is usually replaced on the first visit. Tempered glass and sealed units are made to size in Calgary and take 2 to 4 business days. A window that can’t be secured is boarded the same day. Full detail: window glass repair

How long does a sealed unit take?

Two visits: a measure, then an install 2 to 4 business days later when the unit arrives from the fabricator. Installing one unit takes about an hour. Foggy window repair

Do I need to be home?

For the measure visit, yes, for a few minutes per window. For the install, someone needs to let us in and be reachable. The work is inside and takes about an hour per window.

How soon can you come for a booked repair?

Usually the same or next day, at a time you choose. We’re open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Contact and hours

What happens after a hailstorm, when everyone needs glass?

Board-ups still happen the same day. Glass lead times stretch because every shop in the Calgary area is ordering at once, so we book your install date the day the unit is ordered and tell you if it moves. Emergency window repair

Do you work in winter?

Yes. Sealed units, glass and hardware are replaced year-round. Exterior caulking waits for a dry day warm enough for the sealant to cure. Window seal and draft repair

Pricing and payment

How much does window repair cost in Airdrie?

From C$320. What moves the price is the repair type, the size of the glass, tempering and the low-E coating. Every price is on one page with the date it was checked: window repair prices

Is the photo quote the final price?

It’s the price for what the photos show. For glass and sealed units we confirm it on the measure visit, before anything is ordered. Hardware and screens are usually done at the quoted price on the first visit.

Is it cheaper to repair or replace a window?

Repair, in most cases, because it replaces one part. A sealed unit starts at C$320. A retrofit replacement of the same window costs more, and every replacement quote shows both. Window replacement

Do you charge for the quote or the measure visit?

The photo quote is free, and so is the measure visit.

How do I pay?

E-transfer, cash, debit or any major credit card, and approved commercial accounts can be invoiced. A deposit, shown on the quote, is taken on ordered sealed units and tempered glass because they’re made to size. The balance is due on completion. Service terms

Do you offer discounts for several windows?

Yes. Several units done in one visit cost less per unit than several visits. The quote shows the per-unit price for the count you send.

Warranty on repairs

Is the repair guaranteed?

Yes. Workmanship is warranted for five years, and a new sealed unit carries the manufacturer’s warranty of five years against seal failure. Hail, impact and frame defects that existed before the repair aren’t covered. Service terms

My foggy window is only a few years old. Is it still under the maker's warranty?

Possibly. Find the maker’s name on the stamp between the panes and ask them before you pay us. Many cover the unit for a set term for the original owner. We’ll tell you the same thing on the measure visit. Foggy window repair

What if the new sealed unit fogs again?

It’s replaced under the manufacturer’s warranty. The unit is registered to your address on the invoice, and we handle the claim.

Insurance

Does home insurance cover a broken window?

That depends on your policy. Sudden damage such as hail, wind, a break-in or an accident is what a home policy is written for. Wear, age and seal failure usually aren’t. Check your deductible first. Many single-window repairs cost less than it.

Can you invoice my insurer?

We give you what a claim needs: dated photos before anything is touched, the glass specification, and board-up and permanent glass on separate lines. Ask about direct billing when you book; most customers pay us and claim with the paperwork we provide.

What about a break-in?

Call the police first and get the file number. Your insurer will ask for it. Then call us for the board-up. Emergency window repair

Do you fix car windows or windshields?

No. Airdrie Window Repair works on glass in buildings only. Airdrie has good windshield shops, and if your glass is in a car, one of them is the right call.

Do you cover Cochrane, Crossfield or Balzac?

No. This site serves Airdrie only. The towns around it are outside its area. Service area

Do you install new windows?

When repair isn’t the answer, yes. Most calls don’t need it, which is why every replacement quote carries the repair price beside it. Window replacement
