Who we are
Airdrie Window Repair, Airdrie, Alberta, is a glass repair company. It is the organisation responsible for the personal information collected through this site and by phone. Privacy questions go to the owner, at info@airdriewindowrepair.ca or 587-853-6745.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we collect what the form asks for: your name, phone number, email address, your Airdrie neighbourhood, a short description of the problem, and up to two photos of the window. If you text us, we keep the text and the photos. If you call, we keep a note of the call. Calls aren’t recorded.
Our web host records the technical information every website receives: your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed and the time. That log isn’t linked to your quote.
Why we collect it
We use your details to price the repair, book the visit, order the glass, invoice the job and, if you ask, prepare paperwork for your insurer. That’s the purpose you gave the information for, and it’s the only purpose we use it for. Under Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, we collect and use personal information with your consent, for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate, and we collect no more than the job needs.
We don’t use your details for marketing unless you ask us to keep in touch, and we never sell, rent or trade them.
The photos you send
The photos of your window are stored with your quote so the technician can see what was described and so the invoice matches the job. They’re deleted 12 months after the job closes, or sooner if you ask. We don’t publish job photos on this site or anywhere else without your written permission, and we never publish a photo that shows the inside of a home in a way that identifies it.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets the cookies it needs to work and Google Analytics 4. No other tracker is installed.
Necessary cookies: set by the web server and caching plugin so pages load and the quote form works. No personal data.
Analytics: Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and pages viewed. The data is aggregated and we don’t use it to identify you. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising: We don’t run advertising on this site.
Who sees your information
Your details are seen by the Airdrie Window Repair staff who quote, book and do the work. Your window’s measurements and glass specification, but not your name or address, go to the fabricator that makes the sealed unit or tempered lite. If you ask for insurance paperwork, the invoice and photos go to you, and to your insurer only if you instruct us to send them. We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Quotes that don’t become jobs are deleted after 12 months. Job records, invoices and the photos attached to them are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because the Canada Revenue Agency requires business records to be kept for that long, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete what we’re not required to keep, and withdraw your consent to further use. Write to info@airdriewindowrepair.ca or call 587-853-6745 and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta at https://oipc.ab.ca.
Changes to this policy
We’ll post any change here with a new “last updated” date. If a change affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll ask for your consent again.
